A Fund for Intellectual Property

On 28/03/2023

The European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) has established a fund to assist European small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in protecting and leveraging their intellectual property (IP).

The fund thus partially reimburses fees related to trademark registrations or designs and models, or provides a grant for preliminary "IP Scan" diagnostics provided by a national IP office within the European Union. The maximum reimbursable amounts are €1300 for the IP scan and €1000 for applications related to trademarks or designs and models.

You can submit your application from January 23, 2023, to December 8, 2023. All SMEs can apply, even if they have already received a grant from the fund in the past.

The main objective of the fund is to promote innovation and competitiveness of European SMEs by enabling them to protect their IP and exploit it to its full potential. Protecting IP can help businesses gain a competitive edge in the market, allowing them to market and sell their products or services without fearing imitation by their competitors.
